John Malkovich and Fanny Ardant comedy set to film in Paris

Comedy-drama Mr Blake At Your Service! starring John Malkovich and Fanny Ardant is set to begin filming in February in Paris.

Gilles Legardinier’s English and French-language directorial debut centres on British businessman, Mr Blake (Malkovich) who while grieving the loss of his French wife takes a trip to where they first met. But during his visit, he unintentionally gets hired as a butler in a chaotic French country manor.

Ardant stars opposite Malkovich as the eccentric lady of the manor, joined by Emilie Dequenne and Philippe Bas in the cast.

Mr Blake At Your Service! is based on Luxembourg producer and screenwriter Christel Henon’s best-selling novel Complètement Cramé!, who will adapt the screenplay alongside Legardinier.

Henon’s Luxembourg-based Bidibul Productions co-produces with France’s Superprod, with shooting due to commence on 7 February.

Paris has recently hosted the productions of Netflix's Murder Mystery sequel and thriller On The Line starring Mel Gibson.
