UK creative outfit Untold Studios has launched its first facility in Los Angeles where it will be spearheaded by award-winning executive producers Jo Arghiris and Christina Roldan.
Untold Stories launched in London in 2018 where the BAFTA and Emmy nominated creative studio worked on the VFX for the Netflix hit series The Crown. The company's new studio will focus on production, including film and TV, and be based in the popular Culver City, which is also home to The Culver Studios, Miramax, Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Studios.
Prior to joining Untold Studios, Arghiris was managing director at Scholar and was previously an executive producer at The Mill and MPC. Roldan's production expertise spans design and animation, as well as live-action. She joins Untold Studios after working with Arghiris at Scholar and a stint at Facebook.
Arghiris said: “We’ve had our eyes on Untold Studios from launch and, as we learned more, we were inspired by the diversity and breadth of talent and creative output. It’s a long-awaited move for the people who have been watching Untold evolve and break the mold in London.
“Untold is bringing a refreshing and innovative production proposition to LA. We’re accessible to a multitude of creative powerhouses across the worlds of agency and brand - and the energy is electric," Roldan added. "People are excited about meeting new talent, a new studio, and a new culture. We’re tapping into clients who are searching for what’s next, and are hungry to change things up in their lives - and in this industry.”
