Sergiu Celibidache biopic, Yellow Tie, starring John Malkovich, is expected to film in Romania later this spring.

Yellow Tie is a co-production between the UK's Celi Films and Romania's Oblique Media Film. It is based on the life of controversial twentieth-century Romanian music conductor Celibidache. His son Serge Ioan Celebidachi will direct the screenplay he co-wrote with James Olivier.

The film will follow Celibidache's (Malkovich) rise to fame from being homeless as a child to pursuing a career in music, and his struggles for survival in wartime Germany, as well as, his battle against prejudice, compromise, convention and commercialism.

Oliver will serve as producer alongside Adela Vrinceanu Celebidachi, Robert W. Cort, and Cristina Dobritoiu.
