The Ex-Wife, a new drama for Paramount +, begins a six-week shoot in Budapest from 10 April, doubling the Hungarian capital for London.
The 4 x 60 is based on Jess Ryder’s psychological thriller of the same name.
It centres on Tasha, who is living a dream life with the perfect house, husband and little girl. But her husband’s ex-wife won’t leave them alone and the nightmare begins…
Céline Buckens plays Tasha in the adaptation, written by Catherine Steadman. Steadman also executive produces The Ex-Wife, alongside Ryder, Mike Benson for Clapperboard, Giuliano Papadia and Chiara Cardoso for BlackBox Multimedia and Olivia Pahl & Herbert Kloiber for Night Train Media.
Andy Morgan produces and Brian O’Malley directs.
Clapperboard regularly films scripted content in Budapest – which offers enticing tax incentives – the company produced The Teacher and Deadline for Channel 5 in the city last year, as well as the recent Desperate Measures.
