M. Night Shyamalan has announced his upcoming apocalyptic horror feature, Knock at the Cabin, has completed production.
Shyamalan writes, directs and produces the thriller for Universal Pictures.
It stars Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Rupert Grint (Servant) and Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old), alongside Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth) and Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter).
Plot details remain under wraps, but the film is described as a home invasion horror that takes place during the apocalypse.
Filming is reported to have taken place in Philadelphia.
Taking to Twitter to share a production update, Shymalan posted a picture of a clapperboard with a message about how the film changed him: 'Going on the wall. Just wrapped #knockatthecabin sincerest love to the cast and crew. This one really changed me as a person and an artist. #riskeverythingeverytime.'
On 23 April, the Old director also shared insights about the filmmaking process with his fans on Instagram: 'One week finished on #knockatthecabin such intricate performances this week. Very dark, emotional film. One take shook me up so much I had to walk away to collect myself. Hopefully you’ll feel it as well when you guys see it,' the caption read.
Knock at the Cabin will be released by Universal Pictures on February 3, 2023.
