Searchlight Pictures' Dust begins shooting in New Mexico

The production will employ approximately 152 New Mexico crew members and 153 local background talent

Searchlight Pictures' Dust has started principal photography in and around Stanley, Santa Fe and Galisteo, confirms the New Mexico State Film Office.

Trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms, Dust follows a mother haunted by her past who encounters a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family.

The horror thriller stars Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) alongside Annaleigh Ashford (Bad Education) and is directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse from a script by Crouse.

Dust is produced by Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin, with Chan Phung, SVP of acquisitions & production, director of development Zahra Phillips and creative affairs manager Daejione Jones overseeing for Searchlight Pictures  and reporting to heads of production and development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
