Left Bank Pictures - a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Television - is readying production in Barcelona, Spain for Netflix's female-led action adventure series Palomino.
Filming is scheduled to start on 5 September, 2022 and will continue into late October, 2022.
Palomino will follow Erin Collantes, a British teacher in Spain who finds herself embroiled in a supermarket robbery. When one of the robbers claims to recognise her, her life threatens to unravel. In Palomino, a town of secrets, she must fight to clear her name and protect her family.
It stars Charlotte Vega, Douglass Henshall and Sean Teale, with additional cast to be announced.
The eight-part series is written by Sky's Strike Back: Vendetta duo Rob Bullock and Jack Lothian, with Lothian also executive producing alongside Left Bank’s Andy Harries. It is produced by Nuala O’Leary (Panic) and directed by Iram Haq (What Will People Say).
In February earlier this year, Lothian took to Twitter to tease followers with plans for the upcoming project: “My new show for Netflix kicks off filming in a few months, looking forward to getting back to work and back to blowing things up.”
A release date is to be confirmed.
