The third series of Alex Rider begins filming next week - the first major project to film at the new TBY2, the new studio that is part of the expanded Bottle Yard Studios site in Bristol.

TBY2 is around half a mile from the main Bottle Yard Studios and offers three new acoustically-treated sound stages with 20,000 sq ft, 16,500 sq ft and 7,000 sq ft of clear span build space with maximum heights of 34ft.

Over 40,000 sq ft of ancillary space is also available, including serviced production offices, prop stores, construction workshops, costume/makeup and break out areas. TBY2 brings the total number of sound stages at The Bottle Yard to 11.

Alex Rider 3, for Amazon Freevee, will shoot for around six months. The drama is from Eleventh Hour Films, adapted by Guy Burt from the books by Anthony Horowitz.

Otto Farrant stars as the titular teen spy, recruited by an offshoot of MI6; the series was the first British Amazon Original (scripted) when production began in 2019.
