The eighth instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise wraps a lengthy shoot in the UK this week.
Tom Cruise – famous for doing his own complex stunts in the Paramount Pictures features - resumes his role of Ethan Hunt, an agent of IMF (Impossible Missions Force).
The seventh and eighth films together make up Dead Reckoning, with Part One due out next summer and Part Two around the same time the following year.
The eighth film has been based at Longcross Studios since the spring, when filming began; it subsequently shot in territories including Malta, South Africa and Norway. UK locations included the Lake District. Christopher McQuarrie was calling the shots from his own screenplay; he also produces alongside Cruise.
