Film London has released a list of film and TV productions shooting in the city throughout January.

Based on Charmaine Wilkerson's best-selling 2022 novel, Black Cake is a new Hulu drama series filming on location in London this month. Starring Chipo Chung and Anthony Mark Barrow, the series is set to span many decades and diverse locations in Jamaica, Rome, Scotland, England and Southern California. This generational family drama, with a hint of murder mystery, tells the story of two siblings who, after the death of their mother, are exposed to old secrets about their past in the Caribbean.

Also filming in London this month is Back in Action, a new comedy-spy thriller from Netflix starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx. The star-studded cast also boasts Oscar-winner Glenn Close and Kyle Chandler and will be Diaz's first film since 2014! The film is set to continue filming in London this month with scenes and stunts sequences shot by the River Thames. We can't wait to see Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx Back in Action filming on the streets of the capital.

Sky TV hit show COBRA is back filming in London this month for its third season. COBRA: Rebellion sees Prime Minister Sutherland, played by Robert Carlyle, deal with the fallout of an environmental disaster. Inquiries into the disaster spiral into a governmental crisis as Sutherland's hold onto power is threatened by destructive internal forces. Previous seasons of the high-stakes political drama filmed at iconic London locations such as Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

Another exciting Sky Studios production is in the works, with Mary & George beginning production this January in London. The period drama tells the fascinating true story of Mary Villiers, played by Julianne Moore, who conspires with her son to climb the ladder of riches, titles and influence in Jacobean London. Using her son's seduction of King James I, Mary Villiers' ascension to the heights of English aristocracy is a tale we can't wait to see. The show's lead director is Oliver Hermanus of recent London-set and shot film Living.
