HBO Max preps IT prequel series Welcome to Derry in Toronto
Andy Muschietti, who directed both It and 2019’s It Chapter Two, will serve as executive producer

Production on the IT prequel series is set to start this spring in Toronto, Canada for HBO Max.
According to FTIA's production listing, Welcome to Derry will begin filming on 3 April, 2023.
The prequel leads up to the events of 2017’s It: Part One, based on the Stephen King horror novel, according to Deadline.
The series is set in the 1960s and centres on the origin story of Pennywise the Clown.
Details about the show's cast members are to be announced in due course.
