Outlander Season 7 has officially wrapped production in Scotland for Starz.

The seventh season of the historical drama Outlander, starring Sam Heughan, has wrapped filming in Scotland. 

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Heughan confirmed production wrap in a post that featured himself and co-star Caitríona Balfe holding a clapperboard emblazoned with the text: “That's a wrap.“

The actor's caption read: “That’s a WRAP!!! 🙌... 220 shooting days, a whole year of Outlander. THANK YOU to our amazing crew who have worked so hard and to our brilliant fans… we CANNOT WAIT for you to see season 8 @outlander_starz 🫶.“

Initially set around the time of the Second World War, the series centres on nurse Claire Beauchamp (Balfe), who travels through time to 18th-century Scotland, where she finds adventure and romance with Jamie Fraser (Heughan. It is based on the novel series written by Diana Gabaldon.

Outlander Season 7 is written and executive produced by showrunner Matthew B. Roberts; while Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis serve as returning executive producers.
