Production on Rami Malek's thriller, Amateur, is currently filming in the UK for 20th Century Studios.
Other pending filming locations include France and Turkey.
The story follows a CIA cryptographer who, after his wife is tragically killed in a London terrorist attack, demands his bosses go after them. When it becomes clear they won’t act due to conflicting internal priorities, he blackmails the agency into training him and letting him go after them himself.
Caitriona Balfe, Rachel Brosnahan and Laurence Fishburne round out the cast.
The thriller is helmed by Slow Horses director James Hawes, from a script predominantly penned by Gary Spinelli. Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson produce the pic, with Malek serving as executive producer.
Reports earlier this year also announced that Malek will lead in a new, untitled limited miniseries about Hollywood legend and comedian, Buster Keaton.
James Curtis’ 2022 biography Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life may serve as source material for the series
The Batman's Matt Reeves serves as one of the main producers, with the series being developed at the filmmaker's 6th & Idaho Productions for Warner Bros Television.
