Following the news of Dan Grabiner's exit from Amazon Studios, it has now been reported gthat UK and Pan-English Scripted Head of Production Frank Murray is leaving after two years in the role.

Sources told Deadline that the two exits are unrelated.

While his new venture remains unnamed, Murray has confirmed it will be in both London and New York and has an eight-figure equity investment out of New York City

In a statement, he said: “I can’t say enough good things about my amazing UK production team and about Laine Kline’s constant support throughout my tenure, so the decision to leave my post with Amazon Studios wasn’t made lightly."

"But with the shifting paradigm in global content production, my partners and I seized a rare opportunity to future-proof in a way that will not only allow me to continue creating value for the studio as an independent on select projects but also enable us to produce great content for all platforms."

Murray further stated he would be “laying strong foundations” over the next few months, and planned to officially launch the company Q2 of 2024 "with a few projects in tow."
