CineArk has opened a Dublin branch in response to increased local demand from a big budget studio productions based out of Dublin and Belfast.

The management team is Will Rothschild (Video Operator, Dublin), Sean Leonard (DIT, Dublin) and Niall McDonald (Video Operator, Belfast).

In a statement, CineArk's Dan Hartley (Strategic Director) revealed he was working on Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel and the positive response from local crew to CineArk’s engineering, support and services sparked the idea for a CineArk presence covering the whole of Ireland.

Hartley said: "Whilst the Irish and UK film industries are highly comparable there are nonetheless some unique differences, particularly in the sheer volume of location work around Dublin and the Wicklow area and in Northern Ireland. We’ve risen to the challenge and custom-designed equipment for our Dublin facility that is lightweight, portable and capable of quick deployment. We’ve also streamlined our DIT rigs and adapted our cases and trolleys to suit the terrain."

Hartley is keen for productions to experience the same level of service that they’re accustomed to in London wherever they shoot across Europe as he explains "We’re expanding our provision to create a pan-European model. Dublin is a brilliant example of what can be achieved by working with highly talented local crew and creating synergies between our Ireland and UK operations."

Since the company's inception in 2016 their production services have expanded to include equipment hire, remote production services, and workflow management. Their UK location has a 15,000 square foot state of the art facility with in-house warehouse, engineering and round-the-clock technician support.

CineArk Ireland is now fully operational and located in a bespoke warehouse in Dublin.

Productions that have already been supported include Cocaine Bear (Universal), Dungeons & Dragons (Paramount) and Disenchanted (Disney).
