I Am Ruth indie Me+You has snapped up This Is Going To Hurt production executive Hsinyi Liu as head of production.
Former Sister exec Liu has been head of production and part of the senior leadership team at Steve Coogan’s comedy indie Baby Cow for two years, working on Alan Carr comedy biopic Changing Ends (ITVX) and Live At the Moth Club (UKTV).
Liu was previously a production exec at Sister Pictures where she worked on the Bafta-winning BBC1 series This Is Going To Hurt, and she is a former line producer at The Tourist indie Two Brothers, with credits including BBC1 dramas Fleabag and A Very English Scandal.
Me+You co-founders Richard Yee and Krishnendu Majumdar said: “Her experience will help us produce high-end cinematic, authored drama and comedy with the very best writing, acting and directing talent. We love her taste and passion for telling distinctive and bold stories.”
Liu called it a “truly diverse” indie and said she looks forward to supporting its “dynamic creative ambition and vision.”
Me+You’s upcoming productions include Alice & Jack, a six-part drama series starring Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson for Channel 4.
Its recent C4 drama I Am Ruth, starring Kate Winslet and directed by Dominic Savage, scooped two Baftas for Leading Actress and Single Drama.
