'Oppenheimer' leads Motion Picture Sound Editors award nominees

Joint runners-up in features include 'Barbie', 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse', 'Maestro', and 'Napoleon'.

'Oppenheimer' leads Motion Picture Sound Editors award nominees

The Motion Picture Sound Editors unveiled the nominees for their 71st annual awards. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 3, at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.

Universal Pictures' Oppenheimer leads the film category with three nominations for outstanding achievement in sound editing – feature dialogue/ADR and outstanding achievement in music editing – feature motion picture. Tied feature runners-up with two nominations each are Warner Bros' Barbie, Sony's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Netflix's Maestro, and Apple TV+'s Napoleon.

The MPSE' Filmmaker Award will go to Michael Dinner, The Wonder Years director and producer, while The Career Achievement Award will go to Dane A Davis whose work on The Matrix won him an Oscar.
