The new studio space will help grow Western Australia’s screen industry according to Premier Roger Cook
By KFTV Staff 19 Jan 2024
Construction has begun on a $154m state funded production facility in Western Australia.
The project was greenlit in 2021, and is scheduled to begin hosting productions in 2026.
Home Fire Creative Industries, the consortium selected by the government under a market-led proposal pitch, will build, develop and operate the facility.
The studio facility will include four purpose-built sound stages, production offices, art department and wardrobe, workshops, a backlot, parking and set storage.
Western Australia recently hosted The Surfer starring Nicholas Cage for Tea Shop Productions.
