'Star Trek: Section 31' production begins in Toronto

Paramount Plus has confirmed that filming on Star Trek: Section 31 has commenced in Toronto, Canada.

The feature film, set to debut on Paramount+ globally, sees Michelle Yeoh return to her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. She is joined by Power's Omari Hardwick (Power), Hannibal's Kacey Rohl, Ted Lasso star Sam Richardson, One Piece's Sven Ruygrok, Pacific Rim's Robert Kazinsky, Ginny & Georgia's Humberly Gonzalez, and Barry's James Hiroyuki Liao.

Filming is taking place under the working title Dovercourt and is set to wrap on March 14. The production address listed is for Pinewood Studios Toronto where previous Star Trek series have filmed. 

Star Trek: Section 31 is written by Craig Sweeny and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi. Executive producers are by Alex Kurtzman, Craig Sweeny, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Michelle Yeoh. It is a CBS Studios production in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
