Netlfix has revealed the cast of upcoming series Department Q, currently in production in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The show follows Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another policeman dead.
Matthew Goode stars as Carl Morck; Chloe Pirrie as his co-officer Merrit; Alexej Manvelov as Akram a Syrian cop unable to work as a UK police officer so works as Carl's assistant; Line of Duty's Kelly Macdonald as the police therapist who forms a bond with Carl; and Leah Byrne as Rose, a young officer hoping to prove herself. They are joined by Mike Bonar, Jamie Sives, Shirley Henderson, and Kate Dickie.
Department Q is a Left Bank Pictures production, executive produced by Rob Bullock, Chandni Lakhani, Andy Harries, and showrunner Scott Frank who will direct episodes one and two.
The series is an adaptation of the novels of the same name from Danish author, Jussi Adler-Olsen, written by Frank, Chandni Lakhani, Stephen Greenhorn, and Colette Kane.
