Jonatan Etzler’s satirical thriller Bad Apples starring Saoirse Ronan has begun production in the UK.
The film is shooting across the southwest of England for six weeks with locations including Bristol.
The story follows a primary school teacher struggling to control one unruly student who decides to lock them up in her basement. It is adapted from Rasmus Lindgren’s debut novel De Oönskade with Jess O’Kane penning the screenplay.
Bad Apples is produced by Oskar Pimlott for Pulse Films, whose credits include American Honey, Pig and The Witch.
HanWay Films launched worldwide sales on the title at the American Film Market (AFM) last year.
