'Control' with James McAvoy, Julianne Moore filming in Berlin

Robert Schwenkte's Control starring James McAvoy and Julianne Moore has begun filming in Berlin, Germany.

Principal photography is underway at the capital's Studio Babelsberg.

McAvoy plays a troubled doctor who wakes up one morning to the sound of a mysterious voice in his head. With his grasp on reality now in question, the doctor must follow the escalating demands made by the mysterious voice or face devastating consequences.

The film is produced by Studiocanal and The Picture Company, marking the fifth production that the two companies will have shot together in Berlin, in association with Studio Babelsberg.

Schwenkte’s previous films include the 2010 action comedy Red and two of the films in the young adult Divergent series.
