Netflix debuts the trailer for Norway-set Billionaire Island, from Lilyhammer creators Eilif Skodvin and Anne Bjørnstad.
The creators have reunited with Netflix and for the Norwegian dramedy Billionaire Island, which shot at the island of Frøya, Trøndelag, and depicts Norway’s much-talked about and major fish farming industry.
Trine Wiggen leads the cast as a ruthless owner of a Norwegian fish farming company who plans a hostile takeover of her local rival to become the world's largest salmon producer. Billionaire Island is being released globally on Netflix on September 12.
Billionaire Island also stars Bjarne Brøndbo, Ragne Grande, Svein Roger Karlsen, Kåre Conradi, Oddgeir Thune, Axel Bøyum, Manish Sharma, Frank Kjosås and Bjørn Sundquist, among others.
Marit Moum Aune (Made in Oslo) is the conceptual director; producer is Gudny Hummelvoll for Rubicon; executive producer is Ivar Køhn.
