Ladies of Rome, look out - it appears that the world’s most famous globetrotting spy has his sights set on Rome for Bond 24.

It has been widely reported that the behemoth team will be setting up in Rome to shoot a vital scene involving a car chase, which was confirmed by Lazio Film Commission president Luciano Sovena during an interview.

Sovena was quoted as saying, “I met the producers of the Bond series, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and we discussed the project. One of the key scenes, among the most spectacular in the film, will be a car chase in Via Quattro Fontane.”

Sam Mendes is back in the director’s chair, calling the shots from a screenplay by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Pre-production is already underway at the UK’s famous Pinewood Studios, where there is a special 007 stage, built in 1976 for The Spy Who Loved Me.

Bond 24 will be released in the UK on 23 October 2015 and in the US on 6 November.
