Jude Law to film in Canada and the UK

A new film starring Jude Law and Carrie Coon is gearing up to film in the UK and Canada.

The Nest centres on an ambitious entrepreneur (Law) who re-settles in the UK with his American wife and children, and moves the family into an eerily isolated English manor house.

Element Pictures in Ireland, FilmNation Entertainment LLC and the UK’s BBC Films are behind the feature, which marks a return to directing by Sean Durkin, best known for Martha Marcy May Marlene in 2011.

Durkin has largely been working as an executive producer on projects such as The Eyes of My Mother and Piercing.

The Nest is one of several films currently in pre-production in the UK, including Come Away with Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo, Rocketman with Taron Egerton and The Aeronauts starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones.

Also readying for a UK shoot is Guy Ritchie’s Toff Guys, about a British drug lord who tries to sell his business empire to a family of billionaires from Oklahoma. Ritchie – who also produces - will be calling the shots from a screenplay he wrote with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies.
