Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling's Ocean's 11 prequel enters pre-production

Director Jay Roach's Ocean's 11 prequel starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is in pre-production.

According to Production List, filming will commence on June 30 in France.

Although the feature is labeled a prequel, the project summary notes it is a remake of the original Ocean’s Eleven which starred starred Rat Pack members Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop - directed by Lewis Milestone

The upcoming reboot is set in Europe in the 1960s and will see Greta Gerwig's Barbie co-stars reunite for the heist pic.

Roach (Austin Powers and Meet the Parents) directs from a screenplay by Carrie Solomon. It is produced Gary Ross, Josey McNamara, Michelle Graham, Tom Ackerley, and Olivia Milch.

Village Roadshow and LuckyChap Entertainment produce for Warner Bros Pictures.
