Kriti Sanon and Kajol reunite for Blue Butterfly Films' first project Do Patti

Indian actor Kriti Sanon (Bachchhan Paandey) has announced the first project from her new production house, Blue Butterfly Films.

One day after unveiling the logo for her new production company, Sanon announced the first film under her banner will star Bollywood icon Kajol, with whom she is reuniting with 8 years after co-starring in Dilwale which also starred megastar Shah Rukh Khan.

Taking to Instagram to reveal details about her first project with Netflix, Sanon posted a picture alongside Kajol, Netflix India's Ruchikaa Kapoor, and co-producer Kanika Dhillion of Katha Pictures.

She said: "Thrilled to announce DO PATTI! 🦋🦋 [...] Alongside 3 very strong-headed, inspiring and immensely talented women! Sanon ended her statement saying, "This one is gonna be a thrilling game with a lot of heart! ♠️♥️ [...] A first for Blue Butterfly Films 🦋🥹 @bluebutterflyfilmsofficial."

On day earlier, the star took to Instagram to announce the next chapter in her career as a producer. 

Posting alongside the logo of her production company, Sanon stated: "And Its time to shift the gear! 🦋🦋🦋

"I’ve been in this magical industry living my dreams for 9years. I’ve taken baby steps, learnt, evolved & grown into the actor I am today! I absolutely lovvvee every bit and aspect of film-making. And now, its time to do more, to be more, to learn more, to tell more stories that touch my heart and hopefully yours too.

She continued: "Beyond excited to finallyyyy start BLUE BUTTERFLY FILMS with a full heart and big dreams!! 🦋♥️ @nupursanon."

Sanon was last seen in Om Raut's Adipurush, where she played the role of Janaki (based on Sita). An adaptation of Ramayana, the film starred Prabhas as Raghav (based on Rama), Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravana), Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang. 

The actor will be next seen in The Crew, alongside Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. She also has an untitled film alongside Shahid Kapoor.
