Akshay Kumar's aviation thriller Sky Force starts production in India

Akshay Kumar's aviation thriller Sky Force has started filming in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The location has been transformed into an air base as the film's story centres on the Indian Air Force.

According to local outlets, Kumar has been spotted shooting the film at PAC Battalion Ground in Sitapur. 

Multimedia news agency Asian News International posted a video where the actor appears to be greeting fans on a motorcycle as he arrives for filming. 

Sky Force also stars Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur and newcomer Veer Pahariya. 

The film is helmed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhiskeh Kapur and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.

Elsewhere, it was recently reported that Star Studios' Kumar-led Jolly LLB 3 will start production in early 2024 following confirmed pre-production at the end of this year. 

Jolly LLB is a series of Indian Hindi-language courtroom black comedy drama films, written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. The original film released in 2013, followed by a 2017 sequel.

Kumar and Arshad Warsi will start filming the third instalment in February, 2024 in Madhya Pradesh, India for a two-month long shoot. 

The megastar was last seen in OMG 2, in which he plays Lord Shiva’s messenger, and crossed Rs 140 crore at the Indian box office. 

It follows the 2012 satirical comedy-drama OMG: Oh My God!. The film centres on Kanti Sharan Mudgal, an "unhappy civilian who takes the legal route to make comprehensive education mandatory in schools after a personal tragedy."

OMG 2 stars Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Pawan Malhotra, and Arun Govil.
