Varun Dhawan's Indian chapter of Prime Video's Citadel wraps Serbia schedule

The series is produced by D2R Films, and Amazon Studios, with AGBO's Anthony Russo, Joe Russo overseeing production

Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have wrapped production on the Serbia unit for Prime Video's Indian chapter of Citadel.

Described as a "local Original spy series", the currently untitled project comes from Prime Video and AGBO, the production outfit co-founded by filmmaking duo Russo Brothers (The Gray Man, Avengers: Endgame).

The Original show, which also marks Dhawan's streaming debut, is created by Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) who directs the Indian chapter of Citadel from a screenplay they co-wrote with Sita R. Menon.

On Saturday (June 24) Dhawan shared a picture with Raj & DK and co-actor Saqib Saleem on his Instagram Stories to announce the completion of the schedule. "It's a wrap in Serbia boys and girls," he captioned the photo.

Prabhu also posted a snap of a dessert plate on her Instagram Stories (pictured), saying farewell to the capital of Serbia. "Until we meet again Belgrade," The Family Man star said.

The series is produced by D2R Films, and Amazon Studios, with AGBO's Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, and David Weil overseeing production on the Indian Original and all series within the global Citadel universe.

Richard Madden (Bodyguard) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico) star alongside Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games franchise) in the first series, which hails from AGBO and David Well and premiered in April this year.
